Locating A Snapchat User From A Snapcode
A Snapcode is a yellow square image containing a unique black-dotted pattern and either the Snapchat ghost logo or a users Bitmoji face, which can easily be shared to allow others to easily connect with them on Snapchat.
So when viewing an individual's social media posts, if you come across a Snapcode, indicating that they have a Snapchat account, but with no username by which to locate it, just open the Snapchat App and use the back camera to view / scan the Snapcode, which will be automatically detected, and will then open a banner at the top of your screen, saying Snapcode Found and to Tap To Open, which will take you direct to that users Snapchat account.
Locating Snapchat Users By A Mobile Number
You can search the Snapchat App or website by a username, however if you have a subjects mobile number, then it can be easily searched on a site such as OSINT Industries, or any of the others shown on the Mobile Phone page of our website to locate any Snapchat account linked to it. Or if you are using a burner phone, simply by putting the number into the contacts of your phone and then opening the Snapchat app, going to the Add Friends area, and then selecting All Contacts, it will identify any existing Snapchat users from their mobile number stored on your phones contacts, and will link directly to their Snapchat account.
This will then show their display name & username, Bitmoji (profile character), number of Followers and any public content.
Accessing A Snapchat Users Account From A Browser
Once you know a users' Snapchat account name, then you can access their online profile from a browser, by adding their account name at the end of the URL at https://snapchat.com/@ or https://snapchat.com/add/. This will then show their display name & username, Bitmoji (profile character), number of Followers, the date the account was last updated (in the American format of MM/DD/YYYY) and any public content.
Snapchat Account Details
Install the Snapchat User ID Bookmarklet from MyOSINT.Training, which can be done adding it to your Browsers Bookmark Toolbar, either Right Click on the Bookmarklet and select Bookmark Link, or just left click on the Bookmarklet link and then drag it to your Bookmark Toolbar. Then when you are on a Snapchat account, just click on the Bookmarklet on your Bookmark Toolbar and the account details will be displayed.
Locate The Actual Date & Time A Video Was Uploaded To Snapchat
When viewing a public video posted on a Snapchat account, you can locate the exact date & time it was uploaded by copying the URL for the video and opening it in a fresh tab, then click on F12 to open the Developer Tools, then, if using Firefox access the Inspector tab, whilst in Chrome access the Elements tab, then press Ctrl F and search for uploadDate and then the exact upload date and time should be shown after that, as a local time.
You can do also locate the exact date and time of any comments made on uploaded videos by other Snapchat users, by again opening the video in a fresh tab and then click on F12 to open the Developer Tools, then, if using Firefox access the Inspector tab, whilst in Chrome access the Elements tab, then press Ctrl F and search for the posted comment or account holders name, and then the exact upload date and time of that comment should be shown after that, after the term datePublished, as a local time.
Changes To A Snapchat Users Bitmoji

Searching For Public Snapchat Videos Via The App Map
Using the Snapchat App, you can access the Snapchat Heatmap for any recently uploaded public content, which when viewed shows the Snapchat Username, from where you can access their Snapchat account and other public content.
It is easy to create a fake message using the below and then just create a screenshot of it, giving the impression of a genuine post or text conversation. Accounts and electronic devices should be examined by qualified people to make sure messages & posts are real.
