Without making any direct contact with any individuals identified during this exercise, complete the following tasks, using the links under the “Search Engines” heading on the 'Search Engines' page of our website at www.uk-osint.net. You should spend at least 5 minutes on each task. If you are struggling move on to the next task or ask for assistance.


1. Using the link for Bing listed under the 'Other Popular Search Engines' heading search for yourself, or a family member, or a close friend to compare with results Google gave you in the other search exercise. Search for both web content and images and search with the domain of linkedin.com etc.


2. Using the link for Yandex listed under the 'Other Popular Search Engines' heading search for yourself, or a family member, or a close friend to compare with results Google gave you in the other exercise. Search for both web content and images and search with the domain of linkedin.com etc.


3. Using the link for Baidu under the 'Other Popular Search Engines' heading search for yourself, or a family member, or a close friend to compare with results Google. Then use the link for BaiduInEnglish to do the same.


4. Using the link for StartPage listed under the 'Anonymous Search Engines' heading search for yourself, or a family member, or a close friend to compare with results Google gave you in the other exercise. Search for both web content and images and search with the domain of linkedin.com etc.


5. Using the link for DuckDuckGo listed under the 'Anonymous Search Engines' heading search for yourself, or a family member, or a close friend to compare with results Google gave you in the other exercise. Search for both web content and images and search with the domain of linkedin.com etc.


6. Now repeat some these searches using the using some of the 'Meta Search Engines' listed to compare with how a single search engine operates, searching for both web content and images
